Beautiful café in a rustic setting with lovely food. The bacon cobs were generous and the fruit scone delicious with plenty of cream and jam! Easy walk to the river Trent and lovely wander along. Great job! Perfect for a stop just off the A1.

Loved this gem, we were gifted vouchers and admit, we have driven past not knowing for many years. The vouchers did us a vast favor in that we found a place that cooks to order and has a dream of a view. Quirky it is, with vast amounts of friendliness and superb quality food which is worth our time waiting, relaxing and watching the sky change and wildlife going about its natural business

Such a beautiful experience. Really recommend taking time to unwind here. Let's start with the food: fresh quality, generous portions, good for the soul. Staff: warm, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Decor: rustic, bespoke, sustainable. Prices: Very reasonable for the quality provided. We had a party of 10 and sampled most of the menu, everybody complimented the food! Top tip: there's a peaceful river walk nearby to walk off the food. Venue is dog friendly.

What an amazing place, it really is worth a visit as it's such a lovely experience, we had afternoon tea and couldn't eat it all so got given a goody bag to take home. It's set in a beautiful setting with a river down the path. People who worked there were so lovely and you could tell they were very passionate about what they do which was so refreshing. well done team, and thank you for such a lovely time out x

What an amazing place! Unique, totally different from anywhere we've been to before. Massive variety of seating, with delightful decorations. Perfect example of superb customer service and friendly staff. The food is all home-made, very generous portions and delicious. Exceptionally children-friendly, even with some outdoor and indoor games to use. If you're looking for a fantastic venue for a quick drink through to a leisurely afternoon with a meal then here's the place. Very highly recommended.

Honestly such a wonderful place! Amazing setting and beautiful barn. Two lovely ladies who run the place, deserve the recognition for their hard work. The food was incredible and they have homemade fresh cakes which were delicious. Will 1000% be coming back

I'm sure someone else will have used these words..... "a little hidden gem" of a tearooms. And, yes, it's pretty hidden and not easy to spot. So, here's the magic What3Words for you to locate the entrance from Southbound on the A1 just after Cromwell, hunk.lays.strike and it's right at the beginning of the lay bye. What a fabulous and quirky place set in a barn but with outside space too and old caravans and a teepee etc. Such friendly service and lovely food and a great cup of tea. Surprisingly busy too despite it's location, truly a hidden gem.
